Palm Coast is proud to welcome DC BLOX and Google to the Town Center, marking a major milestone in the city’s growth as a technology hub. DC BLOX’s state-of-the-art data center, capable of supporting up to six high-capacity submarine cable systems, will be developed on a 34-acre site in The Palm Coast Town Center and is set to launch with Google’s Sol Cable Landing Station.

DC BLOX is a vertically integrated digital infrastructure provider that owns and operates edge-market data centers. In collaboration with Google, their investment in Palm Coast is a catalyst for the city’s economic growth. Strategically located between two major Florida metropolitan areas, the DC BLOX Palm Coast site is poised to become a key connectivity hub for the region.

"This is a landmark moment for Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, and Flagler County, and it's a clear signal that we are a community of the future, investing in our economic development and vitality. The Sol subsea cable is more than just infrastructure; it's a gateway to unprecedented global connectivity that will attract further high-caliber industries that our residents deserve. We are not just putting Palm Coast and our community on the map; we are building a direct route to the world's digital economy, ensuring a prosperous and dynamic future for our community." – Palm Coast Vice Mayor Theresa Carli Pontieri

DC BLOX and Google’s strategic investment highlights the growing appeal of Palm Coast as a destination for innovation and long-term growth. Google’s Sol transatlantic subsea cable system connects the U.S., Bermuda, the Azores, and Spain. A terrestrial route will also be developed linking Palm Coast to the South Carolina cloud region. Sol translates to “sun” in Spanish and Portuguese and will be the only in-service fiber-optic cable between Florida and Europe.

“This is a fantastic announcement for the city’s tech sector, and a catalyst for high-tech growth,” said Craig McKinney, Palm Coast’s Economic Development Manager. “From data analytics and cybersecurity to cloud computing and AI, these industries rely on global connectivity. This project puts Palm Coast in a prime position for future advancements.”

Palm Coast is proud to welcome DC BLOX and Google and looks forward to the positive impact the Data Center will have on the city’s growth and future of technology.
